This training aims at improving language access in mental health settings by providing a shared understanding of best practices for working with interpreters and mental health providers.

Target Audience: Mental health providers, language interpreters, and service providers

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Analyze the process of interpreting in mental health settings
  • Identify terminology relevant to mental health settings
  • Develop and perform strategies to improve collaboration between therapists and interpreters
