Brought to you by Trauma Matters Omaha, Project Harmony is proud to share the Trauma Overview training.
This training course helps participants recognize trauma and understand its impact on the brain and body as well as on the community.
You don’t have to be an emergency room nurse or a social worker to benefit from trauma-informed training. Parents, community volunteers, teachers – anyone is welcome to take this training.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Define trauma and identify traumatic stress symptoms
- Recognize Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their associated health outcomes
- Discover the biological effects of stress on the brain and body
- Evaluate factors that promote resiliency through neuroplasticity
